Pat is a graduate of the University of Washington and has a long history of being involved in his local community. He served as the first mayor of Covington, where he has lived with his family for over two decades. Pat has also served on the Economic Development Council, Kent Communities in Schools Board, and as co-president of the Covington Elementary PTA.

Currently, he is the Majority Leader of the House and serves on the House Appropriations Committee. Pat’s legislative priorities include supporting fully funding public education, common sense transportation investments, and building a strong economy.

He and his wife Amy, an oncology nurse, have three daughters who have graduated from our local public schools. His oldest two daughters, Katie and Madeline are college graduates, while his youngest, Molly is currently attending Seattle University.
